Hi everyone! New year resolution idea: Make a friend for 120%! If it sounds good for you, please join us for our International Language Party in Ueno, Friday 11th January! In a cool bar near Ueno Station, we will gather to have a fun and exciting time while speaking a different language with the guests. We will have some topic-cards ready so you can practice English or Japanese about specific subjects together! But if you want a large number of people or a big crowd, our party might not be good for you because we have planned this meetup to make a friend through talking enough each other! Genesis is a small and warm place, 5 minutes away from Ueno Station by walk, located on the 4 floors of the building. It is an international bar with a good atmosphere, where everyone can relax and enjoy a drink! Hi everybody!! To start 2019 on a positive note, we are organizing a fun and original event: drinks and making friends in a Penguin Bar, Ikebukuro!! Join us on Friday 4th! Yes, you read it correctly: there is a bar in Ikebukuro with actual penguins, where you can have a drink while enjoying the company of these sweet animals! We host this event for people to make new international friends, practice their English/Japanese and discover each other’s cultures. Of course the penguins are a great distraction and conversation-starter, but the goal of the evening is for people to connect to each other and have a great time! If you are a traveler, an expat, a Japanese local, and curious about others and willing to make new exciting encounters, please join us! We want to gather foreigners and Japanese people, to create a bound between different cultures. We already have made a booking to the bar, so we have a table to sit and eat/drink! Please sign up if you plan on coming so we can book more tables if needed. There is no entrance fee! During this event, you will be able to purchase cocktails directly from the place.
